Jade & Andy
It goes without saying that we all lived through darker times the past year, with wishes and dreams fully clenched into restrictions. Now we are slowly turning into a brighter era that has finally eased some rules and favours the celebration of love. Many were waiting for the moment when they could celebrate with all of their loved ones, and among them was our couple Jade and Andrew. They had a truly unique wedding at Holmes Mill on 1st July 2021, right after the restrictions in the UK got a bit relaxed and they could have 92 precious guests.
Many couples got postponed in 2020 due to the Coronavirus but what was harder for others was the fact that they’ve lost a parent. Jade’s mother, unfortunately, didn’t make it but even though she wasn’t present, it simply didn’t feel like it. She was remembered and felt in every way possible which made this one of the most emotional weddings we have ever had the honour of portraying.
As everything was specially tailored for their iconic day, the chosen location had to be also one-of-a-kind, reflecting their personalities. They got married at the Holmes Mill which is an incredible venue with industrial charm, nestled in the very heart of Clitheroe. It offered a truly enchanting ambience perfectly framing their Holmes Mill wedding photography. The talented floral designer Wildfire Floral and Co did an impeccable job with adorning the venue in a very authentic and awe-inspiring way.
We were loving the dominant green palette of this wedding at Holmes Mill. Starting from the bridesmaids who wore customized dresses in light green colour to the overall decor. And our couple? They were a true vision. Jade wore a bridal dress from Madi Lane which she had chosen with her loving mum a year before she passed away. Furthermore, she also chose to honour her memory with various tributes which elevated our candid photography portrayal. For example, during the speeches, the guests put special glitter into the prosecco glasses and raised a toast for the bride’s mum. Jade wore a custom charm attached to her wedding flowers with her photo and writing that read "Walk with me today Mama". The most heartfelt part was the dress and earrings which she was supposed to wear for her daughter’s wedding at Holmes Mill.
As natural wedding photographers we revelled in the beauty of love and happiness all around because all of their guests were simply overjoyed to finally see them married, half of their family even came all the way from Scotland! We love capturing all their precious moments with our candid photography like the first look with Jade and her bridesmaids and with her beloved father. Andrew got ready with his groomsmen in a cottage nearby but what was truly romantic and sentimental was the fact that he wrote a personal letter to Jade. They share such a strong and beautiful bond which became prominent both in the photos and video. Speaking of the video, we used a song that both of them chose as it was very important to them.
When it was time for the wedding ceremony, Jade and Andrew shared their first look there… The overwhelming emotions that embellished their union of love was beyond heartwarming. All those happy tears and a whole lot of joy left an imprint on every single one of us.
There are no words to express how much we were proud and thankful to have been a part of this emotional wedding at Holmes Mill.
